With the time change tonight don’t forget:
- The pool, playground, and field hours will change to 9 AM to 5 PM
- Watering schedules go down to 1 day a week; either Saturday or Sunday, whichever is your day. No watering on your week day until we go back to Daylight Saving Time.
With the time change this weekend, this means your watering days change: basically you are going from 2 days a week down to 1 day a week. Please see the chart below to verify your date.
Because of today’s weather outlook we are moving our Community Yard Sale to next Saturday, October the 26th.
There is an 80% chance of rain tomorrow due to the tropical storm moving through the Gulf. While it won’t come near us, it is bringing the high chance of rain to our area. If we do see excessive rain tomorrow we will announce an alternate day for the yard sale to make it up.
Some residents have lawn issues and believe lawn repair can’t be done in the fall. This is untrue. A recent question was asked of the Orlando Sentinel’s Tom MacCubbin if you need to wait until the spring to repair your yard. Here is his response:
If there is a malfunctioning street light in the neighborhood you can report it at SECO’s new web site: Street Light Outages . I’ve also added this link to the Utilities & Contacts page of our web site in the SECO section.
So if your street light doesn’t come on at night, blinks on & off, or stays on all day then get the 6 digit number on the pole (ours should all start with 160) and enter it on search bar on the top of the page. The map will zoom in on our community. Click the marker for that light and make your report on the report on the right side of the page.
